Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum Mülheim
Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum in Mülheim on the grounds of the former Humboldt mine is a good example of the successful reuse of space as well as of ongoing conceptional refurbishment over the years. When opened in 1973, this was one of the first covered shopping centres and therefore set new benchmarks in Germany’s shopping centre scene. To this day, Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum remains one of the ten largest shopping centres in Germany.
A joint venture refurbishment project with the involvement of a CONCEPTA managing partner and the architect Walter Brune.
