QUINCY Cologne

With an approximately 120-metre facade facing onto Breite Straße in Cologne, what was formerly DuMont Carré is now home to retail, office and residential space spread across eight floors. The basement, ground floor and first floor are taken up by retail. Above this, there is 9,000 m² of office space, which is primarily used by the regional broadcasting company WDR. The inner-city district is rounded off with 129 apartments and three exclusive penthouses, which are in great demand thanks to their central yet absolutely quiet location overlooking the roofs of Cologne. There are 670 parking spaces in the underground car park on the lower floors.

The focus of the comprehensive refurbishment of the property was placed in particular on a strategic repositioning of the retail space. This included optimisation of the walking routes by relocating the escalators, an improved quality of stay thanks to warmer interior design, a more extensive array of food services and the integration of strong new anchor tenants alongside the existing big hitters Zalando and Fitness First. Since the end of 2018, Quincy has been home to the French sporting goods manufacturer and retailer Decathlon across approximately 3,000 m² of rental space, while Smyths Toys took occupancy of around 2,000 m² of space in summer 2019. Bye bye, DuMont Carré – hello, Quincy!
