As part of a reassessment, TÜV Süd’s certification body has awarded the multifunctional inner-city quarter QUINCY on Breite Straße in Cologne the BREEAM certificate with a “very good” rating for its high building quality. “This successful recertification underscores that, through consistently planned and implemented asset management measures by the team, even a building like QUINCY, now over 20 years old, can be operated very sustainably,” said Dr. Björn Isenhöfer, Managing Partner of CONCEPTA, which, together with Tristan Capital Partners, has been invested in the property since 2017 and is responsible for its transformation as asset manager. BREEAM certification (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is one of the world’s leading systems for assessing the sustainability of buildings and infrastructure. It evaluates the entire life cycle of a building based on ecological, economic, and social aspects.
